What are your legal rights concerning vocational training ?
Under French law, the individual entitlement to training (DIF) for all employees depends upon the number of training hours accrued through seniority.
Each year the company informs the employees about the status of their individual account. If the number of hours accrued is insufficient at the time of training requirement, it is always possible to agree the way forward.
NB : When training takes place outside work time, an extra 80 hours are added to the individual rights.

In Octobre 1994, Veolia Environnement signed with the unions a agreement concerning on the ongoing professional development.

Every Veolia Environment employee is entitled to develop his/her proficiency in order to either get a diploma or develop the capacity to change employment within the company: this is part of the framework established in the line of professional continuous training. The entitlement to such training is clear and must only get approval from the employees' head management. |
The proficiency period associates training whilst securing a know how through exercising within the company the activities related to the prepared qualification. When it concerns those undergoing vocational training it enables them to secure the required proficiency for the new position provided within the group. . |
If the employee has sufficient seniority he/she is entitled to training for a position different to those provided in the company: the cost will be at the expense of FONGESIC, a funding establishment dedicated to such cases. |
