Relationships with schools and universities
A need for job visibility
Alongside these links forged with institutional structures, the network also associates training and education players.
The Campuses also have the task of coordinating and developing strong relationships with schools and universities as well as with future graduates. They accordingly organise Veolia's presence in schools, universities, student forums, work-study fairs or regional job fairs. They organize and run the necessary meetings with young job-seekers who they direct to offers for jobs, internships, CIFRE contracts or work-study contracts at Veolia. These meetings also help to give greater visibility and legibility to environmental service careers which are often not well known to the general public.
Beyond being present on university campuses, ambitious actions have been devised to promote and strengthen these ties :
- The Student Solidarity Award, created by the Veolia Foundation in connection with Campus Veolia and aimed at supporting non-profit projects organised by student associations at Masters' level from leading French and international colleges and universities. This award aims at contributing financial support and the expertise of Veolia's employees to the best projects.

- Campus Veolia hosts over thirty students for ten days from fifteen leading European universities and colleges. The cycle includes presentations by the representatives of the four divisions in Veolia as well as the Research Department, site visits, practical exercises, interviews with Group managers, a case study on sustainable development issues presented to our CEO, Antoine Frérot.
- Veolia awards Performance Awards to the best end-of-study theses (5 years of higher education). They enable students and young graduates to learn more about Veolia and provide the opportunity to identify new talent interested in the group's activities. A reward for candidates: a trip to a city acknowledged for its level of environmental challenges. This is also a way to highlight the courses they have followed and to support the higher education institutions.
